Single ply 5/8" harness leather headstall with a nylon lariat rope hand tied to the snaffle bit. The next step between the hackamore and putting a bit in the colt's mouth. The Half Breed snaffle with the combination of the rope noseband and the snaffle bit gives you two of the best tools in one when you are bitting that young colt. Excellent for working older horses also. A martingale is generally used with the Half Breed snaffle.
